Founded in 1991 by guitarist Andrew Schulman, Abaca features a rare combination of instruments consisting of the 8-string guitar,
mandolin, violin, viola and double bass which is perfectly suited to
their original arrangements of the classics ranging from Bach and
Mozart to Gershwin and the Pinball Wizard from the rock opera, Tommy.
